the following set of most recent photos are from the Lime Complex Fire in Northern California and my subsequent travels in the Reno/Tahoe area. The photos of the perforated interior of the VW bus are some of my favorites. While stopping to hike around the amazing red rock formations pictured, there was a random VW bus, split windshield, with no seats, tires, windows, or guts shot to hell in the middle of the desert. It had obviously been used as "target" practice for some time. The effect was pretty cool, and slightly humorous...

the gift shop at Crater Lake as it lies buried under some 100 plus inches of snow
the stump pictured in the foreground is rumored to be the most photographed object in the park
the ripples in this phot were caused by a huge snowfall off of Llao Rock
This photo is the back of the Main Lodge-the windows are those of the third floor

In this unusual digital stitch the Crater has been windless for two full days and has allowed ice to begin to form on the Lake, seen here to the right of Wizard Island.
